Happy Spring!

I'm so happy that spring is here!

The plants are starting to grow, some flowers are poking their heads out of the ground.  It all feels so hopeful .

I finally got the nerve up to get my tattoo, I've been wanting this since I was 17.  I love it so much, I'm already planning my second.

The dog is fitting in perfectly , she is such a sweet heart .  Life is so much better with a dog by your side.

I have a new pin design that sold really well at the Gathering in Port Hope . They will be available at Knitters Frolic in Toronto this weekend at Debbie's booth K23 Sheeps Ahoy! Go check her out if your going.  She has beautiful fair isle samples.

New Beginnings

I'm going to pretend that it hasn't been 3 years since I last posted.  We have had many losses, and much stress.  Our beloved dog Tofino died of organ failure.   My mother was diagnosed with cancer and suffered with chemo and radiation therapy.  She passed away April 7th of last year.  Then our best friend in PEI passed away of a heart attack.  He was outside shovelling with his 3 dogs, had a heart attack and was found 2 days later.  So sad.

So enough of the heartbreak . I thought it's time for a dog. Everyone in the family would benefit from this new addition.  The time was right , but the perfect dog had to be found.

I know a lady with a perfectly behaved dog.  She got it off of a man who used to breed and show his dogs. Could I find a dog like this?

We had been to a dog show and fell in love with the Samoyed . Since out last dog was part Sammy I thought this is a no brainer!  This should be our next dog.  The only thing is that I didn't relish dealing with puppy problems.

I remembered the lady with the show dog and ,wondered many months later if Vanderbilt Samoyeds had any adult dogs vanderbiltsamoyeds.com.  I went to their website and in red the first thing that I saw was that they had adults! I'm sure that the last time I checked that wasn't there.  I'm sure this was fate.

One email and a few weeks later, we picked up our new 4 year old girl.  She is now retired ,she has had puppies and was 2013 Canadian Champion.  She is so sweet and loving.  She is still adjusting , but every day is better than the last.  We are so happy to have her in our lives. Just look at that smile ! :D
